My Friend's Place Wish List

Last month HRTS launched a new Charitable Giving program and selected the beneficiary charity, My Friend’s Place. Click here to visit their site. As a first HRTS initiative towards this partnership we would like to invite HRTS individual members and member companies to help My Friend's Place fulfill their mission through the simple act of collecting and donating new or gently worn clothing that will directly benefit the at-risk youth of Hollywood.

My Friend’s Place provides services to homeless youth, ages 12-25 and their children; services are low barrier and open to all youth in need. There are over 15,000 homeless youth under the age of 25 in Los Angeles. Help My Friend’s Place in their mission to assist and inspire homeless youth to build self-sufficient lives.

HRTS members can help in several ways:

My Friend’s Place relies on the generous donations of individuals in the community. Right now My Friend’s Place is in need of young men’s and women’s clothing. The following items are accepted new or gently used (no holes or stains):

  • Men and women’s jeans and shorts
    • Sizes- Women: 8-16; 18-20
    • Sizes- Men: 32-40; 42-52; 26-30
Sizes for jeans are in order of most need
  • Plain white t-shirts
  • Men’s boxers (new only)
  • Tennis shoes (sizes 12-15)
  • Shoelaces
  • Belts
  • Men’s and women’s plus-size interview clothing (dress pants and shirts)

Items no longer needed: suits and socks.
