JHRTS kicked off ’08 with an exciting panel discussion about Free Speech, Censorship, and Political Discourse on Television, in association with the ACLU Foundation Advisory Board.  The event, which took place at CAA’s Ray Kurtzman Theatre in front an audience of over 100 people, featured a renowned lineup of panelists, including Warren Littlefield (former President of NBC), Shawn Ryan (Creator of THE SHIELD on FX), Olivia Cohen-Cuter (Senior VP, Standards and Policy, ABC), Eugene Volokh (UCLA School of Law), Ben Sherwood (GOOD MORNING AMERICA), and Tim Winter (President of the Parents Television Council).   Lawrence O’Donnell, Senior Political Analyst for MSNBC, moderated the event.  The evening was a huge success, and was covered by a feature article that week in the Los Angeles Times (LAT, 1/18/08).    Read article

JHRTS coming soon:
On February 23rd from 9:30am – 1:00pm, JHRTS members will help to create new plots, remove weeds and brush, and add new plants to the Daniel Webster Education Garden  .  No garden experience is necessary as most tasks can be taught at the event.
