Welcome New HRTS Members!



The HRTS is proud to welcome the following new individual and corporate members to the ever growing HRTS family.

 

Individual members: 

Lauren Corrao,  President, Original Programming and Development, Comedy Central
   Corrao is responsible for the development and supervision of all original programming on COMEDY CENTRAL, known for some of the most successful series on television and for its industry-leading development of original content created specifically for digital platforms, overseeing the development teams in both Los Angeles and New York. She also manages the network's talent and events staff, who are responsible for identifying and developing the next generation of comedy stars and producing the channel's special event programming such as the Emmy®-nominated "COMEDY CENTRAL Roast" franchise, the star-studded "Night of Too Many Stars" autism benefit and the network's one-hour stand-up specials. Additionally, Corrao supervises the network's Grammy® Award-winning record label, COMEDY CENTRAL Records.    
   Corrao joined COMEDY CENTRAL in 2002 as senior vice president, original programming and head of development. Since then, the network has seen the highest ratings in its history and ratings-winners like "The Sarah Silverman Program," "RENO 911!," "Mind of Mencia," "Drawn Together," "Lil' Bush" and "Chappelle's Show" have made Corrao a key player in COMEDY CENTRAL's phenomenal growth.

Shira Lazar, NBC/LX TV
   You can currently catch Shira Lazar as host of LX TV's 1st LOOK LA airing every Saturday from 7:30pm-8pm on KNBC Channel 4. She is also a contributor on Reelz Channel's DAILIES and appears frequently on Fox News Channel, CNN and MSNBC.
   Before joining the NBC family, Shira was a West Coast correspondent on Court TV's HOLLYWOOD HEAT and host of DIRECTV'S HAVOC ON THE 101, Movies.com's ON THE RED CARPET, Verizon VCAST, Yahoo! TV, Mania TV and Hollywood.com. She has also written for The Hollywood Reporter and The Los Angeles Confidential Magazine. Shira's dynamic personality and off-the-cuff abilities have allowed her to interview everyone from today's top celebrities to techies and world-class chefs. Her experience in both the traditional broadcast world of television and in new media has made her one of the most well-rounded and versatile on-air personalities. A native of Montréal, Shira graduated with Honors from Emerson College with a BA in Communications.
