In 2008, JHRTS held several very successful events including many community service projects, the Holidy Party, roundtable discussions, monthly mixers and panels. Coming off this great year, JHRTS is excited to continue the momentum in 2009. And with February's events around the corner, members have a variety of opportunities to get involved. Come join JHRTS as we start off another great year with a Monthly Mixer, a Valentine's Day Community Service project and a Reality Television Panel.
Our Monthly Members' Mixers were created just last fall, but they have quickly become one of our biggest monthly events! This month members will be meeting at one of LA's latest hotspots on Thursday, February 5th, for a night of fun, networking and a chance to catch up with each other after the holidays. Catch up with JHRTS at Crown Bar located at 7321 Santa Monica Blvd | West Hollywood | CA | 90046 on Thursday, February 5th, from 8:00-10:00pm!
Valentine's Day is just a couple weeks away and JHRTS is ready to show they care. Members and guests will be involved once again with the organization, Reading to Kids, on Saturday, February14th, from 9:00am-12:00pm, where they will spend the afternoon reading to children at a local Los Angeles  school, Politi Elementary School located at 2481 W. 11th Street | Los Angeles | CA | 90006. Go to http://www.readingtokids.org/RSVP/VoIRSVP.htm to sign up to volunteer, but make sure you select JHRTS as your Volunteer Group!
Reality Television has made a home for itself on our airwaves and JHRTS wants to know the secret to its success. Our Roundtable this month will be held at the William Morris Agency on Feb 18th and will be hosted by Adam Sher, President, Ryan Seacrest Productions and John Ferriter, Executive Vice President and Worldwide Head of Nonscripted Television. We will also be hosting our first Reality Showrunner Panel on February 19th at CAA where we hope to learn from the industry's leaders what makes their shows stand out in the ever growing competitive marketplace.
