October proved to be another busy month for JHRTS members, starting with our Monthly Mixer at Palihouse. There on roof of the
West Hollywood hotel, a large crowd of young professionals from both the scripted and unscripted markets gathered for a night of networking.
On October 23 our First Annual Digital Content Gallery, in association with HRTS, drew a crowd of over 150 executives, agents and industry professionals. The event hosted the world premiere of TheWB.com’s “Children’s Hospital” as well as a new episode of “2/8 Life” and original content from “Jake and Amir”. Not only did everyone view cutting-edge digital content throughout the night but they were able to mix and mingle with the content creators in the state of the art Zune Gallery. Due to the overwhelming positive feedback from the night, we hope this event has established a new tradition for JHRTS and will continue to bring light to the newest digital content over the years to come.
This month also launched our season of Roundtable discussions, and who better to headline than HRTS' own Kevin Beggs of Lionsgate. An exclusive group of JHRTS members were given the opportunity to meet and speak with Kevin in a firsthand, informal discussion about the industry and his personal path to success. The night was both inspiring and educational, leaving guests thrilled having heard from Kevin and eager to make their own mark in the community.
JHRTS is looking forward to the holidays in the months ahead! On November 22, members are invited to join us in the spirit of Thanksgiving, as we serve lunch at the Downtown Women's Center. We are also gearing up for our 6th Annual Young Hollywood Holiday Party which will take place on Wednesday, December 3 at one of
Hollywood’s hot spots, Opera. JHRTS is proud to have TEAM FOX, which benefits the Michael J. Fox Foundation, be part of this event once again.
Companies interested in sponsoring a table for their company at the Young Hollywood Holiday Party or donating products for our raffle should contact us at: info@jhrts.com.
