JHRTS had another successful community service day in early March (despite initially being rained out and postponing the event). JHRTS members, along with LA Works, helped to plant a garden at Daniel Webster Middle School in West LA. Our community service initiative is new this year and is a program that we're hoping to grow even further in the future.
We have several exciting events in the works for the upcoming months. We're planning a lecture in which we hope to examine the TV development process from conception through execution, and are currently putting together a panel of representatives from studios, networks, production companies, etc. We also are planning our first JHRTS Summer Party, which will hopefully provide a great networking opportunity for our membership while raising money for a worthy cause.
